Turning a New Page

Sometimes turning a new page is very difficult, especially if you have a heavy hand. Me and my girlfriend of nearly 4 years officially called it quits yesterday. I drove up to Muncie and had a long conversation with her about it, and then went out to eat, and then talked some more about it. Not much of what we had before was left. It is never easy, especially when one person isn’t ready to move on quite just yet. I told my roommate this last night, she’s the kind of girl that in the back of your head, you figure will break your heart at some point, but the experience is so damn worth it that you let it happen for the short time you can have with her. In the end, as it always does, the sun came up today and the world keeps turning on. Same as it has the last 4 years, and same as it will the next 4. All that’s left to do is put a few things in a box and put them away for a while, out of sight, but not very far from my heart.
